Michael T. Young, M.S. T.C.M., B.S., Dipl. Ac., Lic. Ac., is passionate about using acupuncture and associated modalities to improve health and quality of life, help the body strengthen and regulate normal function, increase mobility, manage pain, and maintain the Body-Mind connection.
Michael has been working as an acupuncturist in Massachusetts and the Pacific Northwest since 2009 in private practice, pain management and health care offices, public service, and Community Acupuncture clinics. Michael treats chronic, acute, and difficult cases, and provides preventative and maintenance health care using acupuncture as well as other modalities. Michael’s treatments are tailored to each person’s unique needs.
Michael earned a Master’s degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the Colorado School of Traditional Chinese Medicine where he completed rigorous training in acupuncture and associated modalities including auriculotherapy, electrical stimulation, cupping, moxabustion, chakra balancing, acupressure, Asian bodywork, nutrition, and herbal medicine. Michael earned a Diplomate of Acupuncture certification from the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Michael earned a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences with a pre-med emphasis from Colorado Mesa University where he conducted DNA research and where he studied anatomy, endocrinology, immunology, biomedicine, developmental biology and medical ethics in addition to the regular curriculum.
Michael is a licensed acupuncturist in MA and is insured by the American Acupuncture Council.
Michael is married and has a son. He enjoys hiking, camping, bicycling, swimming, martial arts, creating art, cooking, listening to music, studying alternative medicine, and spending time with his family.
